Our Experts

Our Program

The unique program is designed to help individuals with disabilities grow in all facets of life while obtaining globally recognized industry certifications. The program of study requires industry specific courses with a focus on certification preparation depending on the individual’s career interest.

eMerge Career Collaborative operates out of MTC’s Tampa facility located on West Cypress Street in Tampa, Florida. All training is doing in a sophisticated setting replicating a university campus.

eMerge Career Collaborative has dedicated learning spaces that students can utilize for classroom instruction and quiet study. These spaces contain either desktop computers or laptops where students can check their email, or continue to work through their classwork.

Students can take breaks in the Student Lounge that allows for socialization and group activities. eMerge Career Collaborative has three state of the art computer labs that each house up to 8-10 desktop computers and a smart board for an enhanced instruction model.

In addition to the learning spaces and computer labs, eMerge Career Collaborative has a VITA lab where students can practice their interview skills with a state of the art virtual avatar program that prepares students for all possible interview situations. In addition to highly qualified instructors, each student is assigned a Success Coach upon admission to the program.

The Success Coach will help students map their goals and develop a plan of action that they can implement to achieve their career aspirations. The Success Coach assists the student to develop a resume, complete job applications and prepare for interviews. After a student finds employment, the Success Coach will work one-on-one with the student at the job site until the student is comfortable and able to perform job responsibilities on his or her own.
