Certification for Adults With Disabilities at MacDonald Training Center!

TAMPA, FL (April 18, 2022) – To celebrate Autism Awareness Month, eMerge Career Collaborative is reaching out to all fellow organizations that work with people with disabilities ages 18-35 to offer two free customer service courses that end with an industry certification by a globally recognized institute!
eMerge Career Collaborative is a new, exciting, and innovative initiative of MacDonald Training Center (MTC), that prepares individuals with disabilities for in-demand jobs in fast-growing sectors in Florida: Technology, Manufacturing, Healthcare/Hospitality. Training courses are taught by eMerge Career Collaborative’s instructors and participants with autism and other disabilities can join this class in multiple ways:

  • In-Person at MTC (free ride-share transportation vouchers available!)
  • Virtually through Google Classroom (Equipment provided by eQuality Recycling can be loaned to participants)
  • eMerge Educators can come onsite and teach at your organization’s location

In a mere combined total of six hours, participants can walk away with two industry certifications in customer service that can lead to finding and landing an exciting career. We offer many options for class schedules that can fit your needs.

There are limited spots, and the courses are only available until June 2022 and are part of eMerge Career Collaborative’s initiative to help all people with disabilities, particularly autism and related disabilities, to master in-demand skills that will advance their careers!

These customer service courses and certifications are recognized throughout the world, and count as education credits with Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the International Association for Continuing Education & Training (IACET).

The courses, “Owning The Service Moment” and “People Make The Difference” will teach and certify participants on the following concepts and more:

  • Create unique ways to develop emotional connections
  • Support leaders and/or employees as they use creativity to solve service issues
