Exciting opportunities are ahead for students looking to explore career paths in a fun, interactive, and supportive environment! MacDonald Training Center (MTC)and eMerge Career Collaborative is offering FREE Career Camps this spring for eligible students aged 14-21 who are currently in school with an IEP or 504 Plan and are referred by their VR Counselors.
These in-person camps provide a unique blend of career exploration, skill-building, and real-world experiences to help students prepare for future employment.

🗓 Dates: March 17-20, 2025
⏰ Time: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM
⏳ Total Duration: 20 hours
Each day includes:
✅ 10 hours of workplace readiness training
✅ 5 hours of self-advocacy instruction
✅ 5 hours of counseling on enrollment opportunities
But that’s not all—students can choose between two exciting career tracks!
🔹 Employment Career Camp (MTC)
Students will gain hands-on exposure to various career opportunities in the community, including:
🐾 A day at ZooTampa with MTC’s Intern cohort
🐠 A visit to the Florida Aquarium for an immersive career exploration experience
🔹 Tech Career Camp (eMerge Career Collborative)
For students interested in technology, this camp offers:
🤖 A hands-on robotics experience
💻 Insights from industry experts in Information Technology
